Founded by Alison Melnick, a designer, wife, and mother of two, Catherine Rose Design & Co. was born from a love of interiors, construction, and the belief that a well-designed home should tell your story. What began as a personal passion has grown into a New Jersey full-service design firm built on thoughtful design, strong values, and a deep appreciation for family life.
Having grown up around construction, Alison’s appreciation for design started early. Her father, though not a contractor by trade, has always loved an active job site. Together, their family spent years building homes, remodeling beach houses, and completing countless projects — instilling in Alison a deep understanding of craftsmanship, function, and the beauty of a space built with heart.
Alison is known for her ability to blend functionality with beauty — guiding clients seamlessly through renovations and remodels while curating spaces that feel both elevated and deeply personal. Her trusted relationships with local contractors and trades ensure each project is executed with precision and care.
Before launching CRD&CO., Alison spent years in public relations and marketing at Madison Square Garden, where she honed her skills in project management, creative storytelling, and brand strategy — skills that now influence the intentional, detail-oriented approach she brings to design. After earning her Interior Design Certification from Berkeley College in 2020, she has since completed dozens of residential projects across New Jersey, each one thoughtfully tailored to the rhythms of modern family living.
At the heart of the brand is family. Alison’s greatest inspiration comes from her husband, Bobby, and their daughters, Charlotte and Olivia — the “C” and “O” in CRD&CO. Together, they live in New Jersey and enjoy spending their summers at their family beach house in Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island.
Alison’s aesthetic is defined by clean, transitional design moments that balance beauty and function—spaces meant to be lived in, loved, and enjoyed through the rhythm of everyday life. Her work reflects a belief that design should not only look beautiful but also feel intentional, creating an atmosphere where families can truly thrive.
