The Golden Moment Project

This project was as inspiring as it was a gentle push beyond my typical design boundaries. By embracing a richer palette and introducing clean, modern moments—particularly in the kitchen—the home took on a fresh and confident personality. Bold color choices and thoughtful details brought new energy to the space, creating a home that reflects the rhythm of life for a young, busy family entering their next chapter.

As a full-service interior design project, CRD&CO. partnered with the homeowners throughout a complete home renovation and addition, guiding the design from early planning and material selections through final furnishings and styling. The result is a cohesive, modern family home that balances elevated design with everyday functionality.

For much of the process, I struggled to find the right name for the project. Then, during one of our final site visits, my client shared that her husband was traveling to Milan for the Olympics to watch the men’s hockey team compete. The week we photographed the home was the same week Team USA took home gold, making it feel like the perfect name for a project that truly marked a golden moment.
