We’re So Back: Fall at Our New Jersey Interior Design Studio

I took the entire summer off from marketing my business. I kind of threw away the goals and strategy and stopped analyzing every tiny detail of an Instagram post, a blog, or the little bit of LTK content we share from time to time.

And honestly? I needed it.

I wanted to disconnect, spend more time with my girls, and embrace the messiness that is summer. Unfortunately, I’m not particularly good at embracing a mess - I tend to spiral - but I did unplug a little, relax a lot, and work in between camp drop-offs, shore trips, family time, and everything else packed into those wonderfully long summer days.

Now that school is back in session, it feels like the perfect time to come back. There’s something about a new school year that makes me crave routine, even when that routine comes with chaotic schedules, rushed mornings, forgotten water bottles, and a calendar that fills up faster than I can keep track of it.

One of the biggest things I realized during this seasonal break is that I simply don’t care as much anymore - and I mean that in the best possible way.

Maybe it was the time away. Maybe it was another birthday. Or maybe I’m finally learning that I don’t have to overthink and analyze everything - or follow every piece of advice about what I’m supposed to be doing to grow an interior design business.

What matters most to me is creating meaningful work, building genuine relationships with my clients, and continuing to grow CRD&CO. in a way that feels natural and true to who we are. This summer reminded me that growth doesn’t always have to look like doing more. Sometimes, it looks like creating a little breathing room, trusting your instincts, and returning with a clearer sense of what you want.

And now, I’m ready to get back to it - because there has been plenty happening behind the scenes at our New Jersey interior design studio.

Recent Full-Service Interior Design Installations

We recently installed two full-service interior design projects, including a primary bedroom suite that we’ll be photographing in a few weeks. I cannot wait to share this one because the transformation feels layered, thoughtful, and completely personal to the homeowner.

We also installed a custom furnishings project filled with pieces selected specifically for the home and the family living in it. There is something so special about seeing months of space planning, sourcing, and decision-making finally come together on installation day.

We’re still waiting on a few special pieces to complete the room, but once everything arrives, it’s going to be pure magic.

New Renovation Projects Taking Shape

On the horizon, our basement renovation project is getting closer and closer to the finish line, along with a few other exciting interior design and home renovation projects throughout New Jersey that I’m ready to dig into.

There are new spaces taking shape, fresh ideas swirling around, and plenty happening behind the scenes - from material and finish selections to custom furnishings and those final layers that make a home feel complete.

So yes, after a summer of slowing down, stepping away, and giving myself permission to create a little more breathing room, we are officially back.

The routines are returning. The project calendar is stacking up. The fabric samples are piling up. And I’m genuinely excited about where CRD&CO. is headed next.

Start Your New Jersey Interior Design Project
