Project Spotlight: Introducing CRD&CO That’s Amore Project

That’s amore! Life works in ways that fill your bucket - in more ways than one. My latest living room full project filled all the buckets.

When a local family requested I come in to reimagine their family room I was honored. I felt like a kid in the candy shop the second I walked in and took a first glimpse at their custom built-ins and stunning fireplace. The request was simple: Create a family room that’s functional and fills the spaces - ultimately off centered thanks to our builder - a request that I often hear one too many times. “Challenge” accepted. 

The room needed to check a lot of boxes - beautiful but not traditional yet still look like it kinda sorta connects to the rest of the very traditional house. But also kid friendly and also, the biggest request of all - win over the husband because he totally didn’t want me there in the first place. 

It’s safe to say we nailed it! We delivered a bright, airy and timeless family room that truly is a room to be lived in. From oversized couches, to textured coffee tables and livable accessories we designed a family room that’s suitable for everyone. 

Throughout the process I gained a mom friend and won over the husband. It’s a challenge I don’t take likely as many husbands are “anti-interior-designer-until-they-see-the-final-product-type.” It didn’t hurt that our biggest install day was the day of the presidential inauguration (#iykyk) and we bonded over pizza reviews throughout the entire process. It’s safe to say we have the same taste!
